Les Incompetents
Year: 2025
Services Rendered: Full-service design, furniture sourcing and styling
Project Description: Housed in downtown St. Catharines’ first movie theatre, Les Incompetents leans into shadow, nostalgia, and quiet drama. Original angles remain. Light stays low. A warm wood bar anchors the room, glowing softly against amber glass bricks and a raw zinc top designed to patina with time.
Layered lighting, bespoke Cabin Glass stained glass table lamps, vintage Sigvard Bernadotte sconces, and soft globe pendants create depth and warmth.
The corridor is lined in warm wood and mirrors, designed with drop-leaf tables for overflow dining. The washrooms are a nod to the restaurant's namesake, Home Alone, an iconic wallpaper in saturated orange meets blue and green tile in a confident clash.
Moody, immersive, and textural, the space feels lived-in from day one, as if it has always existed.
